Birds and animals
There is quite a rich bird and animal life around Bogen and in Bindal generally. In the fjords and out at sea you can see otters and different species of seals , and in the inland lynx, wolverine and maybe one or two bears in the eastern part. Both grouse, capercaillie, black grouse and birds of prey are in relatively good numbers.
There is moose everywhere, but they can most easily be seen by Holm, from about 20 km away; also right by the road, so drive carefully!

Moose calf 15 m from the houses in Holm.
It has been observed a number of 26 different individuals at the same time at the camping here! Eagerly filmed and commented by the camping guests!

It's the grassy fields that attract moose down to the settlement by Holm, where they apparently behave like domestic animals. But that is on distance, one of the three moose have got wind of the photographer, who is filming through the window ...

In the area around Bogen you may see roe deer when you take a bike ride, for example to the Rossvika

Are you taking a walk looking well around you, you may observe eagles nearly every day around Bogen Feriehus!
SKLINNA
The small archipelago of Sklinna is the whereabouts for some of the rare and endangered waterfowl species we have in Norway. Sometimes we can organize trips there with ornithologists on board the MS Sydvind.
